verizonOn Wednesday a new “easy-to-understand” global data package announced by Verizon Wireless to take away some of the stress from travel plans which will be available from April 23, 2012. The global data package offers 100MB of data for $25 per month for US based customers.

Though it is a high price for the data package, it is certainly more affordable than the standard roaming data price. As users of the new global data package add information a data meter will fill up on the right hand of the screen. To purchase a Global Data plan, customers are required to have a domestic data package and international eligibility, which requires minimum payment history.


Package Details:

In this data package, if you go over your allotted global data, a text message will notify you that your current package is over and another 100MB has been added and another $25 will appear on your next month bill. If you travel out of Verizon coverage, a pay-per-usage rate of $0.02 per KB will be charged. From 23rd April 2012, the new global data package will be available across the United States with all of South America, Mexico, Canada, Europe and Caribbean covered by the plan.
